KK's Baptism...

Well, my niece is already 8 which is so hard to believe. She got baptised on September 1st. I was asked to give the talk on Baptism. For my talk I made a Baptism Bag with little gifts for KK to remember her baptism. I wish I had a picture of it but I forgot to take it!

My talk:

Congratulations on your baptism day! This Baptism bag will help remind you that being baptized is one of the most important things you can do in your life. Since this is such a special day for you I want you to have a few reminders of this day. So I am going to give you a baptism bag with lots of reminders. I know how hard it is to live life on your own. I hope this will help you along your way with these gifts.

1st a WHITE BAG to remind you of how PURE and CLEAN you will be after you enter the waters of baptism. Let it remind you that dirt can stain the bag just as sin can stain your soul. Always remember that repentance can keep you pure and clean and should always be your goal.

2nd a PICTURE OF JESUS AND JOHN the BAPTIST will remind you that Jesus was baptized when He lived on earth because He wanted to obey Heavenly Father's commandments and set an example for each of us to follow. He knew that everyone must be baptized to be able to live in the Celestial kingdom.

3rd a WASHCLOTH is to remind you that you will be washed free of all your sins.

4th is a BOTTLE OF WATER, it will remind you that you were baptized by IMMERSION, just like Jesus was.

5th a SACRAMENT CUP is to remind you that when we are baptized we make a promise to Heavenly Father and He in turn makes a promise to us. This is called a covenant. When you partake of the Sacrament you will be renewing your baptismal covenant. The chart will help you remember what these promises are.

6th a HEART stands for the great love our Heavenly Father has for you and His desire that you return to live with Him. It also stands for the love you show Him by obeying His commandments and sharing your testimony.

7th is a TEDDY BEAR to remind you to bear one another’s burdens, that means to help others in time of need, to be there when someone is crying or having a bad day. It is also to remind you to bear your testimony. When you bear your testimony you share a great gift for others and your sins will be forgiven of you.

8th a SMALL GIFT BOX to remind you that after you are baptized you will receive one of God’s greatest gifts, the Gift of the Hoy Ghost.

9th A CANDLE reminds you that as you gain a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and live worthy so Heavenly Father's spirit can be with you, you will feel the peace and joy the gospel brings and have the light of the Holy Ghost. Let the candle represent this light which will lead you back to the presence of your Heavenly Father.

10th is a lifesaver because your baptism is a celestial lifesaver!

Kaitlyn I love you and am happy to share this day with you. Always stay close to Jesus and Heavenly Father and you will truly be happy.

Love,
Aunt Misty

Then as her gift I had her name sewen with fabric on a white towel. Sally Pendleton in our ward did this for me and she did an AMAZING JOB!! It couldn't have turned out better! I also made her a little sacrament scrapbook....everything turned out great! I am so glad that I was able to share this special day with my niece, KK. =)

Riding with Daddy...

At the end of August when we were out on the boat the kidos went riding with Daddy again. Isabella loves it. Chase isn't too sure yet but had a ton of fun! =)

The Zoo...

Our last adventure in Fresno was visiting the Zoo. My kids love love love the zoo. They are animal lovers. We had a lot of fun there.

BTW, the condor picture with Isabella is special for Grandma Hockey. (Bakersfield Condor Hockey) Isabella talked about a condor the entire trip to the zoo and I didn't think they would have one. When she saw it she said that she had to take a picture for Grandma so here is the picture! =)

The Flamingos were Isabella favorite animal. The reason - because they are pink. Pink is currently her favorite color and she was so excited about them. She even got a cute little pink flamingo stuffed animal in a purse!

They also had a special sting-ray area where you could actually pet the sting-rays. It was very cool. My kids wouldn't touch them but I touched them enough times for the three of us.

Owie!!!

Well, another fun adventure while we were in Fresno was to the Urget Care for Isabella's finger. While I was getting ready on Tuesday morning Isabella had her hand in the door jam of the bathroom door and Chase walked by and deceided to close the door right on Isabella's finger. Poor little thing. She was hurting SO bad. It looked horrible. Auntie Heather came to the rescue with all her doctor supplies since we didn't have anything because we were in a hotel. Then it seemed to be getting worse so we took her to Urgent Care. We luckily got in very fast and they were very nice. Isabella was happy that she didn't have to get a shot or have stiches. So were Mom and Dad. Her finger is getting better but the doctor said that she will loose her fingernail for sure. She is a tough cookie!!!

First visit to the library...

I know, I know, I am a horrible mom, that by the way used to be a teacher, and my kids are 3.5 and almost 2 and this was the very first time we have stepped foot into the libray. My kids loved it! I am going to try and make a goal to take them at least once every other week to check out some books. Isabella loved while Aunt Heather read to her and Chase as you can see loved running and chasing Landen around the library but he and I did read a few great books! One of our other Fresno adventures.

Dress up Girls...

We were in Fresno all last week because Danny had training and we deceided to go up with him. We stayed in a hotel, which by the way isn't that much fun with two kids, but we had lots of fun outside of the hotel. We saw Serenity and Landen everyday! =) Here is Isabella and Serenity playing dress up. They are so cute!!!

Beginning of August...

Danny surprised me and we took a trip to Pismo Beach to visit his sister, Deanna, for our 8 year anniversary. We always have tons of fun while we are there and she always spoils us. We always go kiaking at least once! I found an otter friend while we were kiaking. He was so close that I could have touched him but was to nervous to. Here are a few pictures from the trip....

Safety Patrol...

Danny wins safety patrol award for the month of August because he surprised us with helments for the kids and I. We ride quads a lot and we never have helments on. We had been talking about getting helments for the kids so Danny took the inititive and got them helments. He also go me one. =) I guess that means that he cares about me too!!!

Well, as you can see we didn't have a problem with Isabella wearing her helment. We had a problem getting the helment off of her. She loves it. Chase on the other hand has exactly the opposite problem.

Cowboy Theme in July..

Every month at gymnastics the theme is different. In July, the theme was cowboy. Isabella loved this theme. Here is a picture of her one day riding her horsey! Giddy up!! =)

After Church one day in July...

When we got home from church I had to take a picture of the kidos because their outfits looked cute together. I love the way the picture turned out. What cuties!!

Yo Gabba Gabba

Yes, it is as stupid as the name but for some crazy reason both my kids LOVE it! Today was the premier of the first Yo Gabba Gabba show. I thought I'd sit and watch it with my kids. Brobee would have to be my favorite and I can't even tell you why. There was one song, "There's a party in my tummy" that I thought was pretty cute other than that I thought it was very stupid. Isabella and Chase were glued to the T.V. for the entire 30 minutes of the show. I'm thinking they liked it. They showed a preview for tomorrows show and Isabella thought it was coming on again and was pretty disappointed that it wasn't. We'll miss tomorrow's show because of gymnastics. Darn it! =)

A great quote..

I was checking out Taryn's myspace page and and ran across this quote and I fell in love with it because it is SO true. It said:

"There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore, and who always will. so don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason they didn't make it into your future."

Summer Fun...

It seems that everyday we end up in our little plastic pool outside. The kids love it. It was one of our best investments. Especially now that it has been hot, they love to play and slide in the pool. They want Mommy out there with them but, Mommy sits by the door in the air conditioned house! It is just too hot some days. =)

After they get out of the pool they relax in the chairs with their towels. These are a few pictures that I captured of them! They always look so cute cuddled up and wet! Isabella started having fun with it and took some hilarious pictures. She was even cracking herself up. She just wanted me to keep going and going! It was tons of fun!

Isabella's first crush!

Yes, at 3 years old Isabella has her first "boyfriend", so she says. I am in just as much shock as you are! My little baby is already interested in boys at 3! We are so going to be in trouble!!!!!

This is Garin, Dylan's friend. He is such a good sport because she bugged him all day on July 4th and 5th. He was really nice about it! =)

The Message...

Yes, I actually read a book on the way to Detroit. It was SO good! Someone reccommended it since I lost my sister and my dad. I 100% reccommend it to EVERYONE!!! If you know me at all you know that I DO NOT EVER read and I couldn't put this book down. I had it finished before we even got to Detroit. READ IT!!! You won't regret it!
