They Danced, Wiggled, Sang, and went Bye Bye

That is Isabella's description of the Wiggles concert to her Daddy last night.

Terri called me and asked if I wanted to go to a Wiggles concert with her and the kids. Of course, I said yes! We had a lot of fun even though the concert was right in the middle of nap time.

Thanks Terri for inviting us to the concert! We all had a blast!!

An Amazing Man

The Best

Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.

Hard working hands at rest.

He only takes the best.

Here is a collage of pictures from my Daddy's funeral. I thought I'd share a few things with those of you who weren't able to make it to the funeral. It was great to hear of all the nice things everyone had to say about my Daddy! He truly was an amazing man! I am so proud to call him my Dad and I miss him so much!

True Friends....

I just wanted to publicly thank my bestest friend for all the nice things that she always says to me. Whenever I am feeling down she seems to always know what to say and when to say it! It is amazing that when you go through tough times in your life you seem to find out who your true friends are! I am thankful to have some great friends. There is one in particular who I don't know what I'd do without her! You know who you are and I thank my Heavenly Father often for having you in my life!

I was taught something very important from that friend today. She started off wtih this great quote:

"My house is clean enough to be healthy, dirty enough
to be happy."

Then she went on with this story:

The house is a disaster and the kids are screaming and
playing outside.  The husband is frantically going
from room to room looking for his wife thinking "she
must be sick."  He walks into their bedroom and sees
his wife curled up on their bed reading a book.  She
says, "How was your day?"  He says, "Are you not
feeling well?"  The wife says, "Well, you know how you
always ask me what I do all day, well today I didn't
do it?" 

Husbands and "others" tend to forget or don't realize
that their is A LOT to raising kids and keeping the
family unit going.

I feel that sometimes there are people in my life who don't appreciate what I really do. I feel that with all the things that I do in my life that I do run myself thin in other areas but I try to keep up with what I feel is important at that time. I didn't realize that until I got this email. Thanks for reminding me of what is really important in my life!!!!

We are officially going...

I am so excited. We registered for Creating Keepsakes University today. It is in Aneheim in June. I can't wait to go. Heather, Lori, and Brooke are going with me. I am so glad that Heather is going this year! We are going to have so much fun!

On the lighter side....

Since I have been gone so long I have a lot to catch up on!! The trip to "The Price is Right" was SO much fun. Even though I didn't get called up my friends husband, Jason Casper did. But, he was the last one up and he flaked!! =) But, he was sitting two people down from me and had to pass by me to get to the aisle. So, I will be famous for about 10 seconds! =) Here are some pictures from that day.

Oh and the day started off with a bang. Literally! My mom's tire in her car blew about 15 minutes into our trip. Thanks to my brother for coming and switching cars with us and thanks to Fred and Chad for changing the tire. They saved the day! =)

My Last Picture

Well, this is the last picture that I will ever take with my Daddy.

My Dad passed away on Friday, March 9, 2007 at 8:15am. I am thankful that I was able to be right by his side when he did pass.

This picture was taken when he was in the hospital at the beginning of that week. This was three days before he passed away.

The events of these past two weeks have been such a blur.

I miss my Daddy SO SO MUCH!!

Update on Daddy...

Well, on Wednesday my Dad was put into the hospital. We just found out that he has pnenomia. He is now on antibiotics and has been taken off of his chemo and was given two pints of blood because of malnutrition.

He is home know and only time will tell.

They don't plan on putting him on any more chemo and just letting him get over the pnenomia and finally feel better.

So, I will be spending every moment that I can in Bakersfield.

"Come On Down..."

I will be hearing those words in 6 days. I AM SO EXCITED to go to the Price is Right. I am also excited about the company that I will be going with. I am excited that Heather is going with me. It isn't often that we get to do anything together without kids. Also, I am excited to meet my fellow Wee Piggies. It will be great to have a face with the names and emails that we send all the time. I am also excited to win somthing because you KNOW that I'm getting on the show! Well, at least I hope so!! =)

Almost Finished....

Well, I really wanted to scrapbook today but it is hard for me to justify doing it when I have other things that really need to be done. So, instead I deceided to work on my galleries, on my website. Whew...it is so time consuming but I am very excited because I finished 3 more galleries and I only have 2 left. When I was doing my "forever" gallery I knew that I'd want this picture on there. This is the last picture that I took of my sister before she passed away. It is the BEST picture that they have ever taken. It made me really sad because I WISH that she could see her picture on my website. But, maybe she does.....

This is addicting...

For the first time in a long time I have caught up on all my proofing of photography pictures. I can't even begin to tell you what a relief that is.

So, late last night I deceided to start a blog for my photography. As I search other photographers website I am noticing that most of them have blogs for their photography. Since it takes me weeks sometimes to get pictures back to my clients I thought that a sneak peek of 2 or 3 photos from their shoot on my blog would be fun for them. So, I started it with the three proofings that I did yesterday and hope to keep it up. I can also post new happenings with my business there too.

THANKS TO EVERYONE!

I just want to thank everyone who has prayed and/or fasted for my Daddy.

He had an awesome day yesterday. He said that he hasn't felt that good in weeks!

He also went to work for about 3-4 hours. My brother picked him up but, he actually drove himself home from work and walked inside the house by himself. While he was at work he didn't use his oxygen! That is huge!! Isn't it amazing the things we take for granted such as: driving, walking, and breathing!!

Also, my Dad broke out in a huge rash all over his face. When he picked up the chemo. pills the pharmacist told him that if he got a rash on his face that it woud be a really good thing because it meant the pills are working! So, to hear that he has a rash is a wonderful thing!!

Since I have been getting a lot of emails asking how my Dady is I wanted to give everyone an update.

Okay, so not really. I WISH!! But, my two ads are.

There will be a special edition Gina Alexander bag given to each Nominee and to the Press next week at the Oscars. I carry Gina Alexander bags through my photography business. They are beautiful!!

They will also have a tribute journal in these bags that contain information on specially-selected businesses.

Misty's Portraits and Wee Piggies will have a spot in this journal!!! That's right, I am having a 3/4 of a page ad in a 8.5x11 page jounal (for all celebrities to see), compliments of Debbie in Canada!

We have been brainstorming all day and these are the two ads we came up with!

My deadline was 5:00pm today and I sent them off at 4:50pm. I feel like a ton of weight has been lifted off my shoulders!

OSCARS HERE I COME!

Finally a Night Out!

Danny and I finally went out with just the two of us. It was so nice to spend an evening with my husband!

Now, you are probably wondering why I have chosen this picture to deplict our evening.

Well, stupid me thought that if we got to Red Lobster at 5:00 that we'd beat the Valentine's rush. That isn't exactly what happened. We did get there a little after 5:00 but even at that time the wait time was 1 hour and 55 minutes. I couldn't believe it. Then we deceide to call El Jardin in Manteca and the wait time was only 30 minutes at that moment and we were in Stockton. So, we figured by the time that we drive there, waited, and ate that we woudn't be able to make it in time for our movie. So, where do you think we had dinner?? Yes, you guessed it.....Weinerslide(that is what Danny calls it)

Really, I didn't care where I ate and I didn't care what we did. I just enjoyed every moment alone with my husband. Dinner was great and the company was even BETTER!!

Then after dinner we went and saw Catch and Release. We were worried about that being busy but there were only 2 other couples in the entire theatre. It was nice. Great movie! I'd reccommend it!!

The evening was perfect! I wouldn't have had it any other way!!! =)

Love Day

Happy Valentine's Day!! I've been very excited about today because we found a babysitter to watch the kids tonight so that we can go out!! It has been forever since we have went out with just "US"!! I'm excited to spend some alone time with my hubby! I love you Danny with all my heart! =)

When it rains it poors...

My poor brother-in-law! It hasn't even been a year since my sisters death and his brother died at the hospital last night. He had some internal bleeding from an ulcer and seemed to be doing okay. He was in the ICU and got up to go to the bathroom and on his way back to his bed he collapsed and they couldn't revive him.

Sometimes you have to wonder why we go through the trials that we go through. I know it has to all be for a reason and I know that it only makes us stronger.

Those who know Kevin keep him in your prayers!!

Snow days....

This was Isabella and Chase's first and probably last visit to the snow. As you can see, it was 1 degree outside and VERY windy, so we didn't have that great of a time. We had fun before and after with The Casper's but not in the snow!
